The singer and director of Don’t Worry Darling decided to move to California after a judge ruled that her two children, eight-year-old Otis and five-year-old Daisy, were legal California residents.
This comes after the 38-year-old actress said the ‘Ted Lasso’ star,46, who wanted the children to live in Upcoming York, served the custody papers in April “in the most violent way conceivable” when she was introducing her new film at a Comic-Con panel.
Sudeikis’ custody request for Olivia was denied after a judge ruled that her children are from California, according to Page Six. Filed a lawsuit against his ex over their two children in family court.
Olivia is now in a romantic relationship with the pop singer Harry Styles, who is around 28 years of age, as stated in the court documents. Wilde is keen to raise her kids; son Otis, 8, and daughter Daisy, 5, in Los Angeles and London, where boyfriend Harry Styles lives, while Sudeikis lives in Brooklyn after the split. On May 18, Wilde filed a petition, “Determination of Parenthood in California Superior Court in Los Angeles,” seeking legal dismissal of Sudekis’ lawsuit.
A family law attorney Holly Davis at Kirker Davis LLP in Texas, with substantial experience in high-net-worth divorce matters, believes Wilde will be denied permission to take the children to London.
Olivia Wilde claims Jason Sudeikis intended to ’embarrass’ and ‘blackmail’ her by revealing her custody papers on stage at CinemaCon in Las Vegas in April. Sudeikis, 46, and Wilde, 38, began dating in 2011 and have two children together, son Otis, 8, and daughter Daisy, 5, before divorcing in late 2020.
According to The Daily Mail, court filings last month showed the actress and director alleged Sudeikis actively tried to embarrass and blackmail her while she was being serviced on stage. It was also reported that while Wilde was on stage at CinemaCon 2022, she called Sudeikis for the delivery of custody documents during a public event.
Jason has been spending time in the UK for his AppleTV+ show, Ted Lasso, for the past 2 years. The document states that Wilde claimed that “he could have served me discreetly, but he instead chose to serve me in the most aggressive way.” Between LA, London, and NYC, Sudeikis and Wilde have co-parented their children since breaking off their engagement and divorcing in 2020.
At the time, an insider confirmed that the former “SNL” star had wanted to file a lawsuit but had no intention of doing so in such a dramatic fashion.
“Documents have been prepared to establish jurisdiction over Ms. Wilde and Mr. Sudeikis’ children,” they stated. He would never accept being served in such an unsuitable manner.
The development comes as it is rumored that she has broken up with her Don’t Worry Darling co-star Florence Pugh because of her relationship with Harry Styles, which allegedly happened while she was still also related to Sudeikis.
